SSBM Tourney and other stuff

Raivin of the Beaches
I was looking for free mp3's and i found this one artist who is pretty good...

So I placed 8th in the SSBM tourney at digipen this night.
4 player Melee 3Min 3 Lives 1st & 2nd advance
The winning guy used Dr.Mario. I never got to play him though. I don't remember if i said this but i prefer Marth for SSBM. When I'm using him its almost impossible to knock me off unless your on the cheap super Mario 2 world. Anywho in the first round i utterly decimated this one guy who was using Mario in the first minute. So then for the rest of the tourney i had my own personal anti-fan. Amusing, No?

In the second round i placed second. Only by one k.o. and the other guy was in the 115% along with me so i just taunted him from afar... Sides he helped me juggle the other two characters so i went easy on him.

Third round... crap i'm drawing a complete blank... uhmm i placed third or fourth and got placed in the loser's bracket.

fourth round, i tied for second with a Samus player so we played a elimination round, where i proceeded to have my ass handed to me on the Kirby level with the three islands...

All in all it wasn't that bad. I got to talk to the cute anime girl (note i know her name but i'm still gonna call Cute Anime Girl)
Anyway i guess she's been cosplaying at sakura-con for the last four years so i'm gonna check their archive to see if i can find her pic..

Dell & Gateway...

Piccy they both used the same footage! So amusing...

It's Back!!!

Bloody hell

i just spent the last hour and a half trying to add stuff to my sidebar... Its not so much that the was the problem it was that first i had to create a image placeholder for the weblogs.nu thing so i just open one of the other 2 there to edit (note i didn't make the first two) well that was a bloody hassle.
1: i go to open the image in paint. i double click it and it opens in firefox. So for the next 10 minutes i spend searching the Mozilla forums for how to set it back to original before i remember the search button...

2: now that i have that issue solved, paint has disappeared from the start menu at some for some reason (i need to get a copy of Norton at some point) no big deal i just go to the system32 folder and create a shortcut.

3: when i checked to see if the same thing had happened with the accessories folder in my admin account i accidentally log off instead of switching user which closes firefox

4: now i have to dig through the links for that day which takes awhile

there's more to this story but i have to go to bed...

To be continued

This weblog is pretty interesting. I just started reading it, and the guy has a sense of humor so all is good.

I promise not to do to many of these...

My Bloginality is ENTJ!

Sorta interesting. it got most of the stuff fight but they give to many things for each question. So there were some things on each list that described me...

1 other thing then i'm going to bed

azumanga music

Linky in multimedia section...

7/26/04

Very cool stuff I want to get...

USB Security
Plug N' Play
Porto Router

So Yah I'm still listening to that sub-motive CD...
I finally found The Azumanga Daioh Vol 1 manga at suncoast when I went to Vancouver, WA over the weekend. I bought it on the 24th and they were doing an anime sale so I got 2000 bonuspoints which means more manga for me...

So about azu...
Very funny. I like Sakaki, Yomi, Chiyo-Chan, Mr.Tadakichi. To be honest Kimura is just sorta lame, I mean he's funny in that so wrong sorta way but I think it would sorta turn somebody off it was their first time reading manga. But I could be wrong about that...
Its a really great manga though and the DVD is in the top 20 right now in sales which is cool. I actually first saw azu at sakura-con 2004.

So right now I'm currently collecting:
ROD TV DVD's
Ranma 1/2 manga (the 10$ versions cause they're cheaper...)
Azumanga Daioh Manga

Games I'm currently playing
Sword Of Mana GBA
Jumper 2
Super Mario 3 (I think they call it 4 though...)

I sorta went a little crazy in the Nintendo store. (looks at new DK boxers)
Yup definitely did... But they had so much stuff and it was so cheap :( Also got a gamecube slinky and two more games
Mario Vs. DK and Fire Emblem for the GBA I haven't played them yet since I sorta have this leasing deal with my parents.
I also got some Nintendo cloths and a stuffed DK, that and some N shirts and a pocket knife.

It's funny I just looked down and realized I'd been looking at the screen the whole time while typing. I have never done that before...

K, I need to work on some artwork for my game and then search for the chibi pictures in azumanga.

ive been busy sue me i'll talk at the end of the week
i'll just be putting content links down for today for digipen use

7/20/04

You know its funny...
The cafeteria food started out so good on the first week at digipen. Then it started getting worse and just completely tanked on Friday with the enchiladas that were so stale they were cardboard stiff... And now on starting week 3 level 2 the food is still at bad level...

So I got to go to a teachers/friends wedding over the weekend which was cool, cept for the 8 hour drive both ways. Of course the best part was being the only 16 year-old male there...

so in other news I also got the R.O.D. TV collectors edition on Sunday. I cant decide if I like the dub or the sub better yet. Nenene has a better sub and the voice reminds me of a girl I did a play with but I like the dub of Anita better. That and they made Anita's friend way to toddler sounding in the sub.

To be honest what really made me like the dub though was the next episode parts you find in extras... The little commentary they had going was just hilarious. Unfortunately I now have to wait till 09.07.2004 for DVD 2 to be released :(
I know they don't like to flood the market but do they have to wait 2-3 months (don't remember when ROD TV came out...) between DVD's when they already have them all recorded.

well crap its already 12:40ish so I'm out...

p.s. I placed second both times on the Mario Kart Tournament this evening which sorta sucked, but hey I did get to talk to the cute girl (which I haven't mentioned before...) so it wasn't a total waste.

p.p.s at 12:44
So getting one of these...

Whole Lotta...

This which happens to be posted on the front page right now. But its a nice explanation so I'll keep it here...

So I finished my first game project at digipen today... It's sort of a homage to galaxian... In the sense that you can only have one bullet in air at the time and stuff shoots at you... If I can find a free ftp site with some large storage space I might be able to upload it at some point.

this looks pretty cool no? I found it with this extension for firefox called Stumble
you tell it what you like and you get more recommended sites. Sorta like TiVo.

So my favorite song on the sub-motive CD I got has to be "Leaving Tomorrow" the song just has a great tune.

I'll try and post but my internet connection isn't guaranteed over the weekend...
Then next week I start level 2 programming at digipen so I might not have much time.

Fallout & Bethesda = <3

Fallot 3 by Bethesda!!! Open-ended gameplay in a futureistic setting. The Q&A boils down to "To early To Say" , but they did say they weren't going to pursue the mmo route which is good if your me.

Sub-Motive is pretty cool. I got their CD at the lakefair thing a couple days ago.
Anyway their music is pretty good so give them a listen...

More Stuff...

Here.

I actually saw this awhile ago I just hadn't posted it here. This is one of the few casemods that actually looks cool. The only other I have saw was the PS2 computer mod which was all shiny and PS2 looking...

Here for those who want to build there own laptops.

Spooky

well class is starting got to go...

Airships!

Airships would work excellently as floating cell towers.
For areas hit by disasters instead of using trucks, or for areas you wouldn't get cell coverage like wilderness or countries without the infrastructure yet, or Montana and Minnesota...

compressed spam...

You would think if they were going to bother sending spam they would at least have a properly compressed photo...

Pic

Pics

Here is my photo album of stuff I find interesting there's a couple blog posts behind some of them that I need to write down at some point... But till then you can look at the pretty pictures...

P.S. I started the first level programming course at Digipen, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, but it is the first day. We learned a bit bout binary and hexadecimals and whatnot, then we got to create a bouncing ball program that was pretty interesting. At the end of it we had a little screensaver that reminds me of the old afterdark screensaver I liked...

So Got the linkbar working...

Here two programs that I found on penny-arcade forum that looked interesting. I'll test them at some point in the future.

So did I mention I'll be in Redmond for some classes at digipen? My internet access might be a bit spotty for the next couple weeks so posting might be minimal.
